More Than One Sisterlocks Consultation
Posted on 17 September, 2013 at 14:21 |

I always describe the Sisterlocks Consultatoin as an interview. You are interviewing us to see if we as Consultants are knowledgable and experienced to take this exciting journey with you and we are interviewing you to make sure that you are ready to take this journey as well as giving you important information which will enable you to make the best informed decisions about your natural hair. Should you go through more than one Consultation? Simply put, if you don't get that warm and fuzzy from your Consultant and there is an ounce of doubt that you two are not a good fit, I say schedule another Consultation with a different Consultant. All clients don't fit all Consultants. Moreover, all Consultants don't fit all clients. It's ok....be informed and shop around but most importantly, you have to be comfortable with your Consultant and trust that she/he will provide you with the best service while on your Sisterlocks journey. Many blessings to all. |
Brings Joy to My Heart

My weekends seem to be pretty busy as of late and sometimes it is easy to become distracted with things that are not a priority in my life. One particurlar client made me realize this when she started crying and said to me and my sister that "God is good". This is so true. Which led me to recall Matthew 6:33. Jehovah God promises that if we continue to put Kingdom interests first in our lives, he will take care of all our needs, spirtual and physical. It is evident that Jehovah is blessing me and that my blessings are being passed on to our clients. Thank you Jehovah! |

I have a hand full of clients that are "Silver Foxes". A Silver Fox is an older women with gray/silver locks. These women are so encouraging. Most of them cannot come to me as my hair studio is on the 3rd floor. Therefore, I go to them. What a blessing. Proverbs 16:31 reads, Gray-headedness is a crown of beauty when it is found in the way of righteousness. Amen....need I say more! |

Here I am again torn between emotions of being happy because my clientele is growing but feeling sad because so many of you lovely ladies are not getting the service you deserve. This natural hair care system called Sisterlocks is such a blessing. No need to reinvent the wheel. Dr. C. did an amazing job at that and I am thankful each and every day for her. Sisterlocks is such a wonderful gift and I am so honored to provide this service. With that said, do your homework ladies. This is not a walk in the park. It's a journey. Don't be fooled by low prices, 15 minute consultations and so-called quick installations. This is not the case. Good things come to those who wait. Embrace this journey because it is definitely worth the wait. |
To Condition and Oil or not to Condition and Oil

How funny is that I recently had two transfer clients with mature Sisterlocks come to me with breakage issues. So we talked about their hair regime and come to find out that both of their previous Consultants told them no oils and conditioners can be put into your hair. Well this is partly true.....when you have new Sisterlocks!!!! When your Sisterlocks are mature and especially if you are coloring your locks, you are going to need to get some moisture and oil into those locks. Sisterlocks has two wonderful products just for this called Moisture Treatment and Reconstructor that works wonderfully for our locks. Our hair produces its own natural oils but when your locks are long...the natural oils ability to travel the entire length of the lock becomes less and less as your hair grows. So in short, new Sisterlocks; no product except Starter Shampoo. Mature Sisterlocks; you will need product to help maintain your locks. Hope this helps. Nicki |
